Well Drilling – Philippines

Well Drilling in the Philippines is led by Filipino Allen Octobre. It operates as its own domestic non-governmental organization (NGO) and was developed and funded by partners in the USA.

The crew has successfully produced almost 50 wells on Cebu Island, at an amazingly low cost to the communities. Wells are placed at children’s homes, churches, village centers, sometimes at residences or farms. This system uses a trailer-mounted drill and a hand pump known as the India Mark II operating two trailer-mounted drills capable of drilling boreholes in the volcanic rock indigenous to the Philippines.
